The Town
A Disco Elysium inspired prototype where instead of voices in your head you have social actions you can perform to leave unique impressions on the characters you talk to.
You arrive in a snowy outpost where you have to prevent an unknown calamity before it happens. The assurance agency you work for can only predict where the next calamity will take place not what causes it or exactly when it will take place.
This demo revolves around questioning an old man who was last seen with the now missing teenage girl. There are 7 ways of ending the game with lots of different impressions you can leave on characters.
HOW TO PLAY:
WASD or click to move. Left click on characters to speak to them.
To unlock some dialogue options you either need fear or trust with the person. To get those you need perform actions.
There are three categories of actions, charm, give and coerce.
Charm and give builds trust but coerce builds fear. Each action takes up time and certain coercion actions can cause the old man to have a mental breakdown , preventing you from questioning him further.

This is a genuine example of how you do not need to be a AAA game to be enyoyable!
